In Praise of Theft and Fraud (But Not Deceit)

By News Desk

For a look at "hockey stick inflation" please consider Is Inflation the Legacy of the Federal Reserve? Wolf : If the BoJ sought to return to the level of nominal GDP implied by 3 per cent annual growth from 1997, it would be committing itself to annual increase of close to 9 per cent a year over the next decade. Add lead-bullet poisoning denialism to the crank magnetism list

By News Desk

This one was new to me : Fresh off a wave of success in the state Capitol last year, animal welfare groups are taking aim at a new target this year: hunting with lead ammunition. The Humane Society, Audubon California and Defenders of Wildlife are behind a major push to make California the first state to ban lead ammunition for all types of hunting…. ….environmentalists say a statewide ban is needed because overwhelming scientific evidence shows condors, bald eagles and other birds are still dying from lead poisoning when they eat dead deer and other animals shot by hunters….  “These people want to ban hunting

US Plots Conquest of Venezuela in Wake of Chavez’ Death

By News Desk

March 6, 2013 (LD) – US corporate-financier funded think-tank, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), declared in its ” post-Chávez checklist for US policymakers ,” that the US must move quickly to reorganize Venezuela according to US interests. Upon its checklist were “key demands”: The ouster of narco-kingpins who now hold senior posts in government The respect for a constitutional succession The adoption of meaningful electoral reforms to ensure a fair campaign environment and a transparent vote count in expected presidential elections; and The dismantling of Iranian and Hezbollah networks in Venezuela In reality, AEI is talking about dismantling entirely the obstacles that have prevented the US and the corporate-financier interests that direct it, from installing a client regime and extracting entirely Venezuela’s wealth while obstructing, even dismantling the progress and geopolitical influence achieved by the late President Hugo Chavez throughout South America and beyond. The AEI “checklist” continues by stating: Now is the time for US diplomats to begin a quiet dialogue with key regional powers to explain the high cost of Chávez’s criminal regime, including the impact of chavista complicity with narcotraffickers who sow mayhem in Colombia, Central America, and Mexico.

Another way to look at it: China and India committed to permanent greehouse gas advantage for the US (and Marco Rubio is lying)

By News Desk

News recently announced that China plans to enact a carbon tax , along with its longstanding commitment to never match US per-capita emission rates, and India’s greater commitment to never match OECD rates , all suggest a need to look at emissions a different way. What matters is total emissions over the modern time period from the recent past until several generations (at least) into the future
